Mission Statement
JCDS prepares students for a healthy and productive lifetime of intellectual exploration, character development, and social responsibility.
Response from Parents
Jacksonville Country Day School parents were asked, "What does the JCDS mission statement mean to you?" This is how some of them responded:
"The school has educated and nurtured every part of my children's development. The development of character was as critical to us as a family as was the academic training—both are excellent. The early emphasis on social responsibility engrained in them a passion and commitment to helping others!"
"...to me...the mission statement translated to mean that we are creating leaders who are confident in themselves and in taking appropriate risks. Our children take it upon themselves to take action and are wise enough to incorporate the opinions of others."
