In-Classroom PEP Opportunities

All in-classroom PEP schedules are coordinated by the teachers. In-classroom PEP begins in October.

PEP for PJK – 3rd Grade

Volunteers become involved in their child’s classroom in a variety of ways from reinforcing academic skills to special projects. Commitment is based on the number of volunteers for each classroom and the Teacher’s schedule. You will sign up for this activity with your child’s teacher during the beginning of the school year. The PEP schedule varies by grade level and teacher. Click here to sign up online.

PEP for 4th – 6th Grades

Volunteers are needed to follow the direction of the teacher in areas of clerical support, cutting and pasting for class projects, drawings, filing, making copies, duplicating, or putting up bulletin boards. Volunteers will not be in their child’s classroom but will be on call or on an as needed basis. Commitment is based on number of volunteers and the class/grade level schedules. Homeroom Parents will be responsible for scheduling PEP volunteers for their assigned classrooms. Click here to sign up online.

PEP - Homeroom Parent (all grades)

Homeroom Parents act as a liaison between teachers and the parents in each classroom. Responsibilities vary by teacher and grade but may include scheduling PEP volunteers for their assigned classrooms for teacher-specified PEP activities, planning holiday functions and special events, coordinating chaperones for field trips, etc. Homeroom Parents will request volunteers for specific activities throughout the school year so there will be many opportunities to get involved. It is the Homeroom Parent’s responsibility to organize activities and delegate the work to those parents who have offered to help.

To sign up as Homeroom Parent or Assistant, please click here.
• Pre-JK, JK and K classes have one homeroom parent and one assistant homeroom parent per class.
• Grades 1-3 have one homeroom parent and one assistant per class.
• Grades 4-6 have one homeroom parent and five assistants per grade.

Homeroom assignments will be finalized after class lists have been announced in late August. Homeroom Parents and assistants will be contacted the first week of school. Homeroom Parents are being coordinated by Kim Mansur and Shannon Bisher.
