2009 Fun Run a Great Success
The JCDS Fun Run was held on November 16, 2009. Parents, faculty, sponsors, and the students gave their time, money, and sweat to raise funds for the Parents' Association. This money was used to purchase materials on the teachers' Wish Lists of classroom supplies and materials, so our students are the ultimate winners.
For 2010, the Fun Run will be renamed Freddy's Fitness Fair. Although the name has changed, the goals for raising funds — and having fun — remain the same.
Pep Rally!
JCDS held a pep rally on November 9, 2009 to kick off the Fun Run. The students were thrilled to meet the mascot, Freddy Fun Run, in person. The "Cool Dads" played games with the kids and let them in some rousing cheers. Coach Bryan Librizzi and Ms. Emily Dickert were the master and mistress of ceremonies.
In honor of the occasion, students were encouraged to wear yellow shirts to show their support.
Information about the 2010 Freddy's Fitness Fair will be published in early Fall.
