Fifth grade students are showing their Keynote geography projects to their teacher, Mrs. Hardy and to Mrs. Stabler, curriculum coordinator. Mrs. Hardy is integrating more technology into her class, using laptop computers and the new iWork '09 software from Apple.
As part of an experiment in the science lab, the sixth graders placed roses in different solutions to study the changes that would take place. Here, a student is trimming a rose before placing it in one of the solutions.
A fifth grader enjoys the water during P.E. class in the new Aquatic Center. Even in late September, the water is still warm and refreshing.
Brain-based learning keeps the students thinking...and helps make them motivated to learn.
All learning doesn't take place in the classroom. The sixth-graders often take advantage of the nice weather and do their work on the patio outside their building.
