JCDS Alumni - Keeping the Past in Present

Jacksonville Country Day School is approaching its 50th Anniversary. During that half-century, we have provided our students a solid foundation to support their journey through life. JCDS alumni not only distinguish themselves in academics, sports, and the arts, but also consistently play important roles in student government and community service in Jacksonville’s finest private high schools. Many JCDS alumni now teach here or have their children enrolled and continue to participate in life at JCDS.

We have come a long way since we first opened our doors in 1960 and plan to travel much further. Our families have contributed generously to our Annual Fund, which has allowed new construction as well as renovation of our facilities. We have also launched a Capital Campaign to enlarge and renovate our entire campus while making it a safer and more secure environment for our students. We would love to have you visit us and see the changes to our campus.

There is one thing that has not changed—our Mission. We remain committed to empowering students for a lifetime of intellectual exploration, character development, and social responsibility.

Alumni are an integral part of the JCDS community. They read to classes, volunteer to work on committees and return to campus for reunions. Over the years the bonds grow stronger for many of the graduates who visit JCDS. They return to this special place in their lives—a place where they learned to read, to share, to make life-long friends and to become life-long learners. Alumni play active roles in the everyday life of current students by supporting many of the fundraising events and contributing their expertise to school projects and activities. Through the "Alumni Update Program," they stay connected and share their accomplishments and dreams.
