Sixth graders participated in egg drop experiments to illustrate Newton’s Laws. Then, they posted about the experiment on social network site Glogster. The site lets users create interactive multimedia images called “glogs,” which is short for graphics blogs. Glogs look like posters, but readers can interact with the content.
Integrating the Glogster technology with a science experiment raised the bar on these STEM activities and showed how JCDS students are employing 21st century skills, such as making digital videos and blogging, in the classroom.
