As an introduction to a clay project, sixth graders learned about the art of Wayne Thiebaud and his fascination with painting confections like cakes and pies in display cases. Then they made their own versions, which look like they just came out of an oven instead of a kiln. Continue reading

The First Coast Kids Triathlon was a tremendous success for the 54 JCDS students who participated as members of Team Ellie last Sunday. In addition to their hard work in completing our nation’s largest kids triathlon, they also raised $540 to fight pediatric brain cancer! Continue reading
