Computer Competence
Technology is taught in the classroom as a part of the curriculum in preprimary through 6th grades. The classes teach children the critical skills necessary to operate in today’s highly technical world. All Jacksonville Country Day School classrooms have Macintosh computers, media projectors, screens, and SchoolPads and a designated computer for each teacher. Students in 6th grade use laptop computers with wireless Internet availability throughout campus. The goal of the technology curriculum is acquisition of skills and integration among all subject areas, including Singapore Math.
