Grades 1 - 3
At the primary elementary school level, key curricular areas such as reading, language arts, and mathematics are the focus of a developmentally challenging environment. The foundation built by the development of basic skills is a springboard for the creative problem solving in social studies and science.
The primary level is where students begin the process of becoming responsible students who are encouraged to develop good work habits as well as think critically.
Dedicated to helping all students reach their full potential, teachers are trained in providing "brain friendly" classrooms, technology integration, and character education. All teachers are certified, and all elementary classrooms have teacher assistants.
Primary teachers promote a home and school partnership with many opportunities for parents to volunteer in student related activities and events.
Resources such as daily physical education, art, music, science lab, library, computer lab, and Spanish support the strong academic program. Many after school enrichment opportunities are also available for primary students.
